App in detail
You can use the Planning app to create elaborate project plans containing all the detailed plans for your project. The structure is a classical Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with the additional aspect that the tasks can be linked electronically to other RequirementOne entities like requirements, specifications, users, issues and more.
The features of the project plans make them highly interactive and it enables users to easily see which tasks in the overall project plan they are responsible for. So instead of having a fairly static plan that only the Project Manager uses, the ”Plan” suddenly becomes the starting point for all day to day activities with real-time progress reports.
Each task in a plan also contains different key attributes that contribute to the management of the project such as time remaining (ETC) and time used.
The registered time for a task comes from the integrated time registration system which is an integral part of the project plan. Users can register time against each task and the tasks can be configured with billing codes and rates that apply to the particular project.
Also included is a flexible search interface that enables searches for specific tasks using various filters as well as searches for time spent on the various part of the project plan or overall.
